I always figured I was a moderate... a middle of the road type guy. My first political campaign was Barry Goldwater's... then I joined the Navy and saw some of the world. I figure I'm still a moderate... I'm pretty sure you people to either side of me are nuts.

Another Outburst
Has anyone else noticed the lack of any hue and cry for Christian leaders to disavow the statements of Pat Robertson or even the acts of Eric Rudolph? Is that something we do only when it's someone else's religion that's being co-opted by nuts?

Yes, I've waiting for that myself. And waiting, and waiting...
I do not want to stereotype or be too overly critical of the many because of the actions/inactions of the few, but what we may be seeing/not seeing and hearing/not hearing is a form of invertebrate behavior. Robertson may have inadvertently triggered a meltdown of the alleged right-wing conservative Christian solidarity. The next few weeks could be telling.
