A Few Words About HM2 Allan Espiritu









Petty Officer 2nd Class Allan M. Cundanga Espiritu, 28, of Oxnard, CA, died Nov. 1 from an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations in the vicinity of Ar Ramadi, Iraq.
"Doc" Espiritu was assigned to 2nd Force Service Support Group (Forward), II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

I am HM2 (FMF) JAMES R HILL I served with Allen in Port Hueneme and he was a good friend of mine. He always had a smile and joked about every thing. I know he served his country with Honer, Courage, and Commitment. Holding true to the Corps values and the Silors Creed. My his spirit live on and never forgotton. God Bless and God Speed.

"Doc" Espiritu was one of those Filipino kids I would meet at the parties and gatherings of pinoy families in Ventura County. He is one of those who wanted to serve and do his best. I hope the other kids who have grown up are just as motivated as he was.
