I always figured I was a moderate... a middle of the road type guy. My first political campaign was Barry Goldwater's... then I joined the Navy and saw some of the world. I figure I'm still a moderate... I'm pretty sure you people to either side of me are nuts.

A Word About Hospitalman Chadwick Kenyon
Hospitalman Chadwick T. Kenyon, 20, of Tucson, Ariz., died Aug. 20 of injuries suffered when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in the Al Anbar province, Iraq.
Doc Kenyon was assigned to the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Update: The Corpsmen I mention on here came from somewhere... were loved by someone... and each of them will be missed. Here's a piece in the Tucson Citizen about Doc Kenyon.

20. God, it breaks my heart. How would you survive if you lost a child who was only 20? So incredibly unfair.
Incredibly sad.
AQ, I do like what you said in an earlier tribute, that a life is either lost in vain or not.
In my opinion, losing these fine young men and women won't be made any better no matter what happens in Iraq. We went there under false pretenses and that alone dishonors them. Continuing a lie doesn't help.
Keep up the good work on the blog
